Senior Pastor -
Rev. Ralph H. Pieper, II
Ralph has served as Senior Pastor since July 1, 2003. He was born in
Flint, Michigan to the Rev. Ralph and Margaret Pieper, and so he grew
up in a parsonage setting.
He began pastoring in a student pastorate in 1967 in Kentucky and was
ordained Deacon in the Detroit Conference of the United Methodist Church
in 1972 followed by his ordination as Elder in 1974. Ralph began ministering
in Genesee in 1972, followed by service also in Blissfield, Flint, and
Port Huron, Michigan.
Ralph attended Ainsworth High School, Flint, Michigan and received
a B.A. from Asbury College and a M. Div. from Asbury Theological Seminary
in Wilmore, Kentucky.
He made his first commitment to Christ at 5 years of age and continued
to experience other calls to discipleship through the years. Then in
1962, Ralph responded to a call to preach at Simpson Park Camp, Romeo,
Michigan where he currently serves as President.
Ralph’s other areas of service are as a Director at the Methodist
Children’s Home, and as Chairperson of the Port Huron District
Council on Ministries.
Ralph enjoys working on cars, building, and remodeling things.
